Tip #7 of 52: How to Increase Your Chances of Earning an Athletic Scholarship

Tip #7 of 52: Start Early.

A key component of the recruiting process is awareness. Don’t be afraid to showcase your strengths and your successes as you develop. In fact, today I would argue that it’s a necessity. Some prospects are committing to colleges as early as the 7th and 8th grades. Remember college coaches start looking early and recruit not based on where young players are currently, but where they can potentially be as seniors in high school heading into college. So, create your athletic profile, keep it updated and begin showcasing your skills right away.
